Still, Life

Solo exhibition at Central Saint Martins.

As part of her academic research last November, Emma travelled to Jingdezhen, the 'City of Porcelain' in China to take part in an Artists residency programme. Emma has curated an exhibition of new ceramic work and working processes at the Windows Gallery, Central Saint Martins in Granary Square.

Some rather large porcelain sculptures push the boundaries of what is possible with this amazing material and some smaller pieces talk to Emma's interest in interactions with domestic objects. An investigation into glaze and geometric form shows off the beautiful qualities of material in a way only clay can do. The exhibition can be seen from outside (Central Saint Martins canopy entrance in Kings Cross, Granary Square) so do pop by and have a look if you are in the area - basically if you study or work at CSM or work in Waitrose Kings Cross for the next month of lockdown - or until January 4th 2020.

"I am really excited to finally showcase the work which illustrates this immersive and inspiring experience. I met so many wonderful ceramics enthusiasts and experts in China and look forward to sharing my stories and experiences starting with this exhibition"
