All our ceramics are hand-made in the UK: Our fine bone china is produced in small factories in Stoke-on-Trent, the traditional home of the potteries. Other ranges are hand-crafted in Emma’s studio in North London using both traditional throwing and casting techniques. We use a range of materials from bone china and porcelain to grogged stoneware clays and assign strong value to the integrity of ceramic materials. Most surface decoration is defined by the texture of the materials used or the function of the design. Simplicity in surface and form means Emma Lacey’s ceramics can happily exist among the objects you already own.
